UGC
UGC means user generated content, and in a paid context it means content a creator makes for a brand to use on the brand's own channels.
What it does not tell you
The word is used two ways and the difference is money. Organic UGC is what a customer posts of their own accord. Paid UGC is a service: the creator is hired to produce footage that runs on the brand's account or in its ads, and it may never appear on the creator's own page at all. Pricing the second like the first is the most common way creators lose money on this work, because the audience they built is not what is being bought.
