Reels are the main way accounts reach beyond their existing followers, which also means reel reach is the least predictable number on the account: a single reel can reach more people than a month of everything else. That makes averages misleading for reels specifically. Compare a reel against your own typical reel rather than against your posts in general.

Making every reel longer than it needs to be. A reel that ends when the point is made gets watched to the end more often.
